Ankara to take measures to stop Israeli strikes on Gaza

Turkey will take the necessary measures to stop the Israeli Air Force's strikes on the Gaza Strip, TRT Haber TV channel quotes Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu as saying.

He said first of all Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip threatens security of civilians.

The Israeli Air Force attacked today, the second day of the operation on the Gaza Strip, about a hundred targets, killing three members of HAMAS movement's military wing and bringing the total number of killed Palestinians to 11 people at least.

Operation "Pillar of Cloud" has been the large-scale operation over the last four years. Tanks and ships of the Navy are involved in the shelling of Gaza in addition to aviation. Representatives of political leadership and military command of Israel does not rule out land invasion of the sector. Last time Israel brought ground troops into the enclave in winter of 2008-2009. Then victims of the operation were about 1,400 Palestinians.
