Strong blast occurred near Turkey- Syria border

A massive explosion took place in the Syrian city Rasulayn on the Turkish border, the Sabah newspaper reported.

It was reported that state air force helicopters bombarded the city of Rasulayn which is under the control of the Syrian free army. No reports have been made on any victims yet.

During the air strike the residents of Sanliurfa province in the Turkish Ceylanp?nar region which is located on the border with Syria, were evacuated to other areas.

Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for a year and half.

According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria is nearing 30,000.
Over 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
