Militants of terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) committed three attacks on Turkish soldiers in Hakkari Province, TRT Haber TV channel reported.
During the firefight seven soldiers were killed, while 15 others were wounded.
Earlier it was reported about one soldier's death in the city of Hatay as a result of PKK militants' attacks on a military convoy.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK has lasted for over 25 years, claiming over 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognised as a terrorist organisation by both the UN and the EU.
