SOCAR to build oil refinary factory in Poti

Azerbaijan company SOCAR begin construction of refinery factory in Poti in August-September 2012, said on Sunday Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili at a meeting with residents of Poti.

"Three weeks ago we reached this agreement and will begin construct," he said.

The President of Georgia noted that the construction of the refinery factory will take two years, after which in Georgia can be processed to produce crude oil and petroleum products.

He emphasized that through the implementation of refinery operations will be provided with two thousand men.

"At he building will also be involved hundreds of local residents, which will allow us to provide the social situation for people of Poti," said Mikhail Saakashvili.

The President of Georgia discussed with a citizens projects that will be involved in Poti.
