U.S. will soon begin issuing neutral passports to individuals from occupied territories of Georgia, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in Batumi at the final press conference.
She stressed that the U.S. intends to thereby make a positive contribution to the restoration of confidence between the conflicting parties and to promote the rights of citizens from the occupied territories.
She stressed that the neutral passports will be issued to individuals, who wish to study in the United States.
"The U.S. is ready to contribute to the peaceful settlement of conflicts in Georgia and it is the first step in this direction," Clinton said.
