Georgia wins Caspian cup

The international youth (U-17) tournament in football for the Caspian Cup has ended in Baku.

In the final the national team of Azerbaijan lost to Georgia 0:1. The only goal in the match was scored by Revaz Baramidze in the 72nd minute. Thus, Georgians became the winners of the contest.

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan were playing in the match for the third place. The main half ended 2:2. Uzbeks turned luckier in the post-match penalty series (5:3) winning bronze.

In the match for the fifth place Lithuania also beat Turkey in the penalty series while in the match for the seventh place Japan defeated Kyrgyzstan 3:0.
