FIDE , Azerbaijan Chess Federation boost coop

The Azerbaijan Chess Federation and the World Chess Federation (Federation Internationale des Echecs, known as FIDE from its French acronym) have today signed agreements on cooperation and sponsorship of challenge tournament for chess crown in 2013 in Baku Hilton Hotel.

The ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan Minister of Youth and Sport Azad Rahimov, chairman of the Central Bank and president of the Azerbaijan Chess Federation Elman Rustamov, president of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Rovnag Abdullayev and president of FIDE Kirsan Ilyumzhinov.
