Azerbaijan ready for gas supplies to Ukraine

Azerbaijan is ready to supply gas to Ukraine, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine Eynulla Madatli said at a meeting with Kharkiv Regional State Administration Chairman Mikhail Dobkin.

"Ukraine is a strategic partner for Azerbaijan. We always support each other. Azerbaijan fully supports Ukraine in issues of energy, especially gas. And this cooperation will be gradually carried out in practice. Azerbaijan will supply gas to Ukraine at any time," Madatli said.

Speaking about economic cooperation, Dobkin said the foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and the Kharkiv region increased by 54 percent.

"In the future, we will develop this cooperation. Moreover, Ukraine faces a challenge to seek alternative sources for heat and electricity generation," Dobkin said.
