Lessons at all schools were cancelled because of bad weather, Georgian Minister of Education and Science Dimitri Shashkin told Imedi TV. He said that the decision was made due to bad weather conditions and heavy snowfall throughout Georgia. Lessons will be resumed on February 13.
"I ordered the schools to calculate the damage they have suffered because of bad weather," he said. "We will do everything possible to assist them in fixing the damage caused by weather beaten school buildings."
The minister stressed that the order does not apply to universities. "Coursework will continue there," he said.
