Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year marked abroad

Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Budapest has arranged a reception to mark December 31, the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year. Addressing the event, Ambassador Vilayat Guliyev briefed the participants on the accomplishments made in Azerbaijan in 2011.

The reception brought together members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations, students and others. Another event to celebrate the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis was organized in Azerbaijani Embassy in Pakistan.

The event brought together representatives of the Azerbaijani community, members of the Friendship Group on Pakistan-Azerbaijan interparliamentary ties. Opening the event, Ambassador Dashgin Shikarov read out President Ilham Aliyev`s message to world Azerbaijanis. He also spoke of the achievements made in Azerbaijan in 2011. Events to mark the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis were also held in Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
