The 6th International Children`s Chess Tournament has ended in Azerbaijan`s capital. The tournament brings together 54 chess players from Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, India, Iraq, Iran, Poland, France and the South African Republic.

According to head of the international tournament and Azerbaijani Honored Master of Sports Gennady Gelman, the competitions were held in 2 groups. Azeri chess players Zaur Bayramov, Jeyhun Huseynzade and Narmin Mammadova shared the first, second and third places respectively in “A” group.

Azeri Aysun Ismayilova won the first place, while Bulgarian Martina Parvanova and Azeri Khadija Shabanova finished second and third respectively in “B” group. The tournament was organized by Azerbaijan Chess Federation`s Ganjlik chess club and the British School in Odlar Yurdu University.

Prizes were presented to the winners of the tournament by sponsors Bakcell, HP and Softline companies.
