Veteran Azerbaijani weightlifter Akif Aliyev has lifted a total of 176 kilograms (81+95) to win gold in the European championship in Linz, Austria, which brought together more than 600 sportsmen from 33 countries.
Aliyev, 51, has secured his title in the 56 kg class to seal his third European triumph, which added to his two world titles.
