The Azerbaijani wrestling championship has resumed in the Sarhadchi Sport Complex in Baku following a break due to the Novruz Holidaya and Final Four of the volleyball CEV Cup.
Winners among young freestyle in three weight categories have been determined.
Ruslan Surkhayev (42 kg), Mirjalal Hasanzade (46 kg) and Parviz Ibragimov (50 kg) won the first place. In general, 163 fighters fought for the victory in these categories, the Azerbaijani Wrestling Federation said.
Winners received certificates, cash rewards and complete sets of sports costumes from the federation.
The winners of the championship will be invited to the country’s national team.
