An international cadet freestyle wrestling tournament in memory of 20th January martyr Mushvig Isayev has ended in Azerbaijan`s capital.

Azerbaijani wrestlers have garnered 15 medals, including 5 golds.

Gold medals came from Farid Ismayilov weighing in at 42 kg, Parviz Ibrahimov at 50 kg, Kanan Guliyev at 54 kg, Eljan Usubzadeh at 85 kg and Ali Mahammaddabirov at 100 kg.

Ruslan Gasimov, Mirjalal Hasanzadeh, Nurlan Hajiyev and Pakhrudin Makhayev gained silver medals in the 42 kg, 46 kg, 63 kg and 85 kg categories respectively.

Masim Gadirli weighing in at 42 kg, Mammadhuseyn Hasanov at 46 kg, Safar Ativi at 50 kg, Ruslan Shukurov at 63 kg, Elmar Ismayilov at 69 kg and Kamran Yunusov at 76 kg won bronze medals.

Azerbaijan ranked first in the medal table, followed by Iran and Russia.

The tournament brought together 98 wrestlers from 7 countries.

Speakers at the closing ceremony included Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ismayil Ismayilov, brother of Mushvig Isayev, vice-president of the National Olympic Commitee Khazar Isayev and vice-president of Azerbaijan wrestling Federation Namig Abdullayev.
