Baku hosted a ceremony of awarding of the winners of the 23rd Baku Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship on December 2. Narmina Bayramova, who scored 27.200 in the all-around, took the first place, Maryam Huseynova took the second place with 26.200 points and Ayan Aliyeva took the third place with 23.950 points in the competition among the gymnasts born in 2008. In the competition of the gymnasts born in 2007, Fatima Mammadzadeh (34.050 points) took the first place, Medina Demirova (29.350 points) took the second place, and Nuray Hasanzadeh (27.800 points) took the third place. Zahra Pashayeva (34.050 points) won gold, Fidan Yusifzadeh (32.850 points) won silver and Kamilla Aliyeva (32.450 points) won bronze in the competition among the gymnasts born in 2006. The second day of the 23rd Baku Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship and the 2nd Azerbaijan and Baku Aerobic Gymnastics Championship kicked off at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku Dec. 2. On the second day of the competitions, along with rhythmic gymnasts, representatives of aerobic gymnastics demonstrated their skills. The athletes included into the categories of children (7-8-year-old), youngsters (9-11-year-old), pre-juniors (12-14-year-old), juniors (15-17-year-old) and seniors (18-year-old and older) competed in the individual and trio programs. In total, 141 gymnasts represented Baku Gymnastics School, Ojag Sports Club, Gomrukchu, Sarhadchi, Spartak clubs, Sports Society of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Republican Complex Sports School and Shaghan Olympic Sports Complex.
