Azerbaijani wrestlers have claimed 3 medals, including a gold one in the UWW Junior World Championships in Salvador, Brazil.

The gold medal came from Murad Mammadov in the men`s 55kg weight category.

Mammadov secured the medal after destroying a Bulgarian rival 6-0.

Karim Jafarov and Islam Abbasov clinched silver medals in the 60kg and 84kg divisions respectively, while Ruhin Mikayilov took bronze in the 66kg weight class.

Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers ranked second with 53 points, behind Georgia.
