Azerbaijani Under-13 chess player Gunay Mammadzade has become world champion in Romania. She secured the title after gaining 7.5 points. Her teammate Narmin Mammadova won silver with 7 points. In the girls` Under-15 event, Azerbaijan`s Khatin Bagirova won silver, while Ayten Amirayeva took bronze. In the boys` Under-13 event, Ismayil Shakhaliyev earned Azerbaijan the silver medal.
