Azerbaijan will host World Football Trophy of the International Military Sports Council (CISM) next year. The decision was made at a meeting which involved Secretary General of the Azerbaijan Football Federations Association Elkhan Mammadov, deputy minister of youth and sports Ismayil Ismayilov, vice-president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade, head of the Azerbaijan Central Sports Club Natik Aliyev and head of Administration and Human Resources at CISM Olivier Verhelle.
World Football Trophy will see participation of 16 teams, with Azerbaijan, China, North Korea and Japan having already confirmed their participation. In September Azerbaijan will host Women's World Football Championship.
