The first group of Azerbaijani pilgrims returning from Hajj crossed the Jordan-Iraq borders. Iraqi forces are ensuring the security of Hajj pilgrims in the territory of this country. The pilgrims will reach the city of Karbala this evening and start pilgrimage there. They will leave for Baku on November 14.
The second group of the Azerbaijani pilgrims also left Mecca. The planes with Azerbaijani pilgrims on board will leave Saudi Arabia on November 14-20.
This year 2500 Azerbaijanis made Hajj pilgrimage. They traveled to Saudi Arabia in 44 buses and five planes.
