The Central Scientific library of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the National Library of Catalonia have signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed during a visit of director of the Central Scientific library, Aybaniz Aliyeva-Kangarli to Barcelona.
The agreement provides for expansion of bilateral relations and exchange of books. The National Library of Catalonia was founded in 1907 as the library of the Institut d`Estudis Catalans. It was opened to the public in 1914. The facility has about three million items.
