More than 230 employees of the Penitentiary Service were dismissed within 10 months of this year, Deputy Justice Minister, chief of the Justice Ministry’s Penitentiary Service Medet Guliyev said.
Guliyev said 30 percent of them were dismissed for shortcomings.
Medet Guliyev said among them were the employees, who were involved in smuggling of drugs to the penitentiaries.
“We were reported that there are employees, who have hand in the smuggling of drugs to the penitentiaries. These reports were checked and some facts were revealed. Those employees were dismissed,” he said.
