An international conference themed around “polluted lands management – opportunities for development of transition economies” has opened here today.
The conference co-organized by Azerbaijan office of German technical cooperation (GTZ) and local authorities, brings together Azerbaijani MPs, scientists, representatives of a number of ministries, as well as more than 50 experts from Germany, European and CIS countries.
During the 2-day conference, the attendees will hear more than 10 reports. They will tour places of interest in Baku and Sumgait. The participants will also visit Sumgait's industrial enterprises.
