Azerbaijan's embassy in Syria has organized an event to commemorate the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
The event was attended by members of the Azerbaijani community in the country.
Opening the event, ambassador Mahir Aliyev spoke of the national leader`s cervices to the Azerbaijani people. He said a new page was opened in Azerbaijan`s history when the national leader came to power again in 1993.
He noted all accomplishments the country achieved are the results of the national leader`s forward-looking policy “which is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.”
The event participants also saw a documentary on the national leader`s lifetime and activity.

Azerbaijan's embassy in China has organized a commemorative event to mark the 87th birthday of national leader Heydar Aliyev. Speaking at the event, ambassador Yashar Aliyev briefed the participants on the national leader's role to protect the Azerbaijani statehood and strengthen the country's independence. The event participants also saw a documentary “Moments of great life” devoted to the national leader.

Another event to honor the 87th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev was organized in Azerbaijan`s embassy in Serbia.
Speakers at the event, told of the national leader's role in carrying out projects to ensure political, economic and cultural development of Azerbaijan. They noted only national leader delivered Azerbaijan's realities to the world community when he came to power again in 1993.
The speakers also said as a result of the national leader`s efforts, Azerbaijan took a worthy place in the world.

A commemorative event to mark national leader Heydar Aliyev's birthday was held in Azerbaijan's embassy in Pakistan bringing together Azerbaijanis living in Islamabad.
Then, a “roundtable” meeting was organized in Federal Urdu University with the participation of Ambassador Eynulla Madatli. The participants spoke of the role of national leader Heydar Aliyev in building and development of the Azerbaijani statehood.
The ambassador also donated to the University's library an English and Urdu version of the book entitled “Heydar Aliyev-national leader of the Azerbaijani people”.

Azerbaijan`s embassy in Ukraine has organized an event to mark the 87th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The event brought together members of the Azerbaijani community, diplomats, representatives of SOCAR's office in Ukraine and students.
Opening the event, Ambassador Talat Aliyev spoke of what the national leader did to contribute to strengthening relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Other speakers at the event, told of the national leader's lifetime and activity.

An event to commemorate the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev was held in Romania.
The event brought together the embassy's workers, representatives of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and SOCAR's office in the country, members of the Azerbaijani, Romanian and Turkish communities.
Speakers in the event, briefed the participants on the national leader`s lifetime and activity.
They stressed the national leader`s role in development of relationship between Azerbaijan and Romania.

A football tournament dedicated to the 87th anniversary of Azerbaijan's national leader has been held today in Istanbul. The tournament was held with support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s office, SOCAR and Consulate General in the city. The winners of the tournament were awarded prizes at a reception to mark the birthday of the national leader.
