The Azerbaijani and Dagestani scientists intend to restore the overall true story.
"We want to restore our common true story, created by our ancestors: the rulers of Caucasian Albania, the Shirvanshahs state, the Safavi state, the khanates of Sheki, Guba and Derbent and Jaro-Balakan jamaats," the director of the History Institute of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), MP Yagub Mammadov, said at the International scientific conference "Azerbaijan-Dagestan: historical brotherly relations, modernity and perspectives" in Baku today.
Scientists of Azerbaijan and Dagestan, together with colleagues from the Caucasian republics and foreign countries will work to clean up the history of the Caucasian peoples from stealing concepts from the outside, Mahmudov said.
He said Dagestan will hold a scientific conference, which will be the logical continuation of today's event, in May.
The conference will be held in the north of Dagestan at a shrine of Imam Gorgud, where the ashe of the great ancestor Dada Gorgud lies, Mahmudov said.
