Azerbaijani border guards prevented an attempt of illegally crossing the Georgian-Azerbaijani border from the territory of Georgia to the territory of Balakan region of Azerbaijan by three individuals on Apr. 13 at 19:00, the State Border Service said.
The violators didn't obey obey the "stop" order of the border guards, ignoring blank shot into the air, and threatened the border guards' life with arms.
As a result, border guards used a weapon and wounded one of the border violators, who returned to the territory of Georgia.
The case is under investigation.
