Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) mission in Azerbaijan met with Elmar Tagiyev, the son of resident of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz region Eldar Tagiyev.
He expressed concern over his father’s fate.
"I told ICRC representatives that we think my father was under pressure during his televised speech in Armenia. I asked them to assist returning of my father to home. They said ICRC would mediate in this issue within its authorities."
Tagiyev also met with the representatives of the State Committee for Captives, Hostages and Missing People.
He was told that the Committee continues its activity towards returning of his father and they will inform his family about any news.
Resident of Alibeyli village of Tovuz region Tagiyev Eldar Heydar, 47 was taken hostage by the Armenian militants on Dec. 28, 2009 near the contact line in direction of Alibayli village.
