A regular monitoring on avian flu started in Azerbaijan.
The due announcement was made by Yolchu Khanveli, spokesman for the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijan Ministry of Agriculture.
"Specialists of the veterinary services, Ministry of Ecology, Ministry of Health, Republican Hunters Association have been attracted to the monitoring", said Khanveli.
He noted that the blood samples of wild birds and poultry are taken for laboratory researches during the monitoring.
He said the outcomes will be made public on May 23.
