Azerbaijani ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova has sent an appeal to the Baku office of the International Committee of the Red Cross with a request to assist in returning Azerbaijani soldier Eybatov Vusal Shirsultan oghly, captured by Armenians, to Azerbaijan.
The due announcement was made by the press service for the ombudsman's office.
The appeal says that on April 11 of 2008, Azerbaijani serviceman V.Eybatov was captured by Armenians in Aghdam direction and is currently in captivity.
"The capture of Azerbaijani servicemen and civilians by Armenians causes strong anxiety among the population", says the appeal.
The appeal expresses request to control the state of serviceman's health.
It should be noted that Vusal Eybatov, born in Khilmilli village of Gobustan, was captured by Armenians in Aghdam on April 11.
