On January 17, European Court of Human Rights will consider three cases concerning Azerbaijan.
These include:
applicant, Elchin Nariman oglu Abbasov, born in 1964, is an Azerbaijani citizen, living in Russia. He relies on Article 6 § 1 (right to a fair trial);
applicant, Ismayil Asgar oglu Ismayilov, born in 1947, is an Azerbaijani citizen, living in Baku. He relies on Article 6 § 1 (right to a fair trial), Article 11 (freedom of assembly and association) and Article 13 (right to an effective remedy);
applicant, Natalia Onufriyevna Rahimova, born in 1949, is an Azerbaijani citizen, living in Baku. She relies on Article 6 § 1 (right to a fair hearing within a reasonable time), Article 13 (right to an effective remedy), Article 8 (right to respect for private and family life) and Article 1 of Protocol No. 1 (protection of property).
On January 17, the Court will also consider cases concerning Russia, Ukraine, Italy, Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Norway and Romania.
