Shamil Seyidli, head of Baku City Main Police Office public security department told APA the raids detained 12 women involved in prostitution. According to him, five of them were sentenced for 5 days and three were punished with 3 days imprisonment under 307.1 article of Criminal Code. Blood analyze was taken from those women and sent to Baku City main health office's Venereology hospital.

Shamil Seyidli said police is patrolling the area at the moment and measures are being taken to prevent such cases in the future.
