Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Vasili Istratov, gave a press conference, touching on broadcast of Russian channels in Azerbaijan, Estonia-Russian relations, Sergey Lavrov's forthcoming visit to Azerbaijan, stationing of missile defense system in Europe and other related issues.
He said that Azerbaijan will take the decision whether to allow the broadcast of Russian channels in Azerbaijan or not. "If Azerbaijan decides that Russian broadcasters should be pulled off the air, it is the country's own business. Nobody appealed for consideration of broadcast of RTR in Azerbaijan," he noted. The Ambassador added that there is progress in the issue of distribution of the Caspian Sea, APA reports. "Every country wants to defend their own interest, there is good prospects for future talks," he underscored.
