He told the APA he intended to investigate the complaints on the site. The rights defender met with several prisoners who have recently went on hunger strike. According to him, the lifers do not go on hunger strike but some of them intend to start again.

"They want to demand commuting of their punishments in accordance with relevant resolution of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly adopted in April session. I advised them not to start protest as this issue will be focused on by official structures," he said.
