Baku Traffic Police Department official Vagif Asadov told the APA that the number of road accidents and death increased compared with the corresponding period of the previous month and 4 i factors on injury reduced.

Asadov said that 7,523 drivers were punished for the harms in the first week of April. 135 was punished for drunk driving ruling, 153 for creating accident, 8 for not obeying the police, 267 for passing traffic light in red light, 194 for exceeding speed limit.

89 people were killed and 477 injured as a result of 409 road accidents occurred in Baku from January 1 to April 7.
