Meeting of the Pardon Commission under President was held.
Commission is working and some appeal lists have already been made, the Pardon Commission's member Elmira Akhundova told APA. Those lists include family dispute offenders, Army deserters and accomplices of other crimes and are being specified now. Intensive work is going and disputes over some appeals are taking place, she said. Elmira Akhundova said that nearly 600 appeals have been considered by the Commission until today. The Commission's member also said that party leaders and international organizations requested them. Sardar Jalaloglu requested Commission to pardon some offenders. Some lists were offered by Council of Europe and those appeals are being considered by Commission. To be frankly I do not agree with these lists. Those people are not prisoners, but concrete offenders, she added. The president is expected to sign pardon decree on the eve of Novruz holiday.
