Narimanov court presided over by Judge Mammadali Zulfugarov continued the trial of Samir Sedagetoglu, editor-in-chief of Sanat newspaper, and journalist Rafig Tagi who are accused of publishing article which insulted Prophet Muhammad.
Samir Sedagetoglu and Rafig Tagi are accused of Article 283.2.2 and 283.1 (abuse of power and provoke national, social and racial hostility) of Criminal Code. Then judge Zulfugarov asked some questions to the accused. Answering the questions Samir Sedagetoglu said as his rights have been violated, he does not consider himself to be the citizen of this country. Then the judge announced the questionnaire sent by Nasimi Executive Power to court. "According to the questionnaire, Sanat newspaper is officially situated in 8, Rashid Behbudov Street, Sebayil district. That is why the trial should not be held in Narimanov court," he said. It was decided to consider this case in Sebayil court, APA reports. Rafig Tagi and Samir Sedagetoglu were arrested on November 15 accused of provoke of national, social and racial hostility.
