Trial on case of Akif Zeynalov, a member of the armed group leaded by the former Prime Minister Suret Huseynov in 1994-1995, will start at Grievous Crimes Court presided over by Mursel Aliyev.
Judge told APA the case has been declared admissible. The preparation meeting will be held on February 8. According to the case, Akif Zeynalov had worked as a locksmith in "Yun-Iplik" Centre in the region of Yevlakh. He was a driver of Nusret Budagov, arrested diroctor of the centre in 1994-1995. He provided some persons with ammunition during these years. After the coup attempt prevented on October 4, 1994, Nusret Budagov was arrested, and Akif surrendered his submachine gun through his brother and escaped the investigation. He was announced wanted in 1995 and arrested last year. He is found guilty under the article 279 (forming illegal armed groups and providing ammunition) of the Criminal Code.
