The editor-in-chief of Azerbaijan's Senet newspaper and a correspondent of the newspaper Rafik Tagi committed a serious crime by publishing an anti-Islamic article in the newspaper, Deputy Azeri Prosecutor General Rustam Usubov told journalists on Wednesday.

"They committed a serious crime, the punishment will depend on results of the investigation and court rulings," he said.

"After the publication of the article the Prosecutor General's Office invited the editor-in-chief and the correspondent of the newspaper and asked them to publish a refutation," he said.

"The Azeri Prosecutor General's Office is probing the case," he said. Interfax
