Azerbaijan women's handball team has progressed to the final of the 2nd international tournament for Moscow Oblast Handball Federation Cup held in Zvenigorod, Russia.

Azerbaijan team outplayed Russia's Rostov-Don, Ukraine's Motor, Moscow's Luch teams.

Then, Azerbaijani handball players secured 19:12 win over Zvenigorod's Zvezda-2 team to book the place in the semifinal.

Baku players sealed a narrow 31:30 win over Moscow’s Luch in the semifinal, qualifying for the final.

Georgi Voronin-led Azerbaijan handball team will face in the final with the winner of the Belarus national team vs Zvezda game. AzerTAg
