The Office of Caucasian Muslims (OCM) told the APA Vatican ordered Rolandas Makritskas to meet with Sheikulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh and present some documents to him on behalf of Roman Pope.

During the meeting, Vatican representative regretted that Roman Catholic Pope's recent speech caused unpleasant reaction and fury in Muslims.

Makritskas asked Sheikulislam to convey to Muslims Vatican's respect for the Azerbaijani people and Islam and accept the known reaction as misunderstanding.

Receiving the documents containing the abovementioned opinions addressed by the Roman Pope, Pashazadeh talked about holy duty of religious figures. He said
this holy duty is to ensure mutual respect and sincerity among people regardless of their national belongings.
