Azerbaijan's Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of the Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

Defendant Aslanbek Kentamirov responded to the questions of public prosecutors. He said he was pressured when he resisted Haji's orders. "Mammadov used to say if I disobeyed him he would do what he did against Chechens. He threatened me with death. He said Chechens have no right in Azerbaijan. I was like a soldier obeying orders. The National Security Ministry told me it saved my life. Haji would kill me."

Kentamirov also said Shirkan Albiyev introduced him to Haji. He said Husain Abdulvahabov lead the gang and Chechens Sidek Abdulvahabov and Iss were members of the gang. He admitted his involvement in the kidnapping and murdering of owner of Azermebel Industrial Concern Nazim Pashayev and his driver. "Haji, Shirkhan and Husain were aware of this kidnapping."

Kentamirov responded to questions of public prosecutors on the kidnapping of Elshan Hasanov. He said Haji Mammadov led the talks with his family, and Abdulvahabov gave him $7.000 for that. He said Haji and Eldar Rahimov offered him to kidnap Ilham Ganizadeh.
"We kidnapped him and took to Haji's country house. After some time, they said Ilham's family did not want to give money, therefore, his ear must be cut. I was against but they forced me."

The trial will continue tomorrow, APA reports.
