2.660.748 sq. meters of area was cleared from mines and UXO in Azerbaijan in August this year.
32.909 UXO (unexploded ordance) and mines were disarmed during the reporting period. The Azerbaijan National Agency of Mine Action (ANAMA) told the APA 34.884304 sq. meters of area has been cleared from 59.627 mines and UXO. 78 mine explosions in Azerbaijan since 2001 have hit 49 people and wounded 109.
