Court of Grave Crimes today continued the trial of the criminal gang led by Haji Mammadov, former high ranking official of Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department.

The court hearing presided by judge Ali Seyfaliyev started an hour later. The Judge said it was due to defendant Aligulu Guliyev's feeling bad and taking first aid, APA reports.

When the trial started Aligulu Guliyev refused his lawyer Azer Aliyev demanding his substitution with lawyer Hazi Mammadov. The Judge said this issue will be considered in the second half of the day. Husain Abdulvahabov claimed that Haji Mammadov's testimonies to the preliminary investigation on the kidnapping of Elshan Hasanov differed from that given upon the trial.

Public prosecutor Bashir Jafarov declared all the testimonies that Haji Mammadov gave to the investigation.

Haji said he was interrelated by the Prosecutor's Office on the murder of criminalist Rovshan Aliyev and said kidnapping of Zamira Hajiyeva was agreed with Zakir Nasirov, former head of the Crime Investigation Department and Kamil Sadraddinov.

Haji Mammadov in his testimony upon the trail said Zakir Nasirov ordered kidnapping of Zamira and did not mention Kamil Sadraddinov. The trial will continue today.

The gang led by Haji Mammadov faces charges of several grave crimes, including manslaughters and kidnappings.
