Azeri karate fighter Amal Atayev (80 kg) won a gold medal at the 5th World University Games in New York.
The tournament brought together about 800 students from 74 countries to compete in 17 sports. Atayev knocked his Turkish, Venezuelan, Spanish and Japanese rivals out of the competition to mount the highest step on the podium. /AzerTAg/
