15 peoples fell victim to mines and UXO in 11 accidents in Azerbaijan in six months of this year.
One was killed and 14 were injured in mine explosions. Six victims are civilians. One of them was killed and two children were injured. The Azerbaijan Campaign for Banning Antipersonnel Mine told the APA the accidents in 2006 mainly occurred in Shagan district of Baku, Agjabedi, Aghdam, Agstafa, Gadabay, Terter and Fuzuli regions. 23 were reported to hit mines in the analogical period of 2005. Four of them were killed and 19 were injured in mine explosions.
