The world judo championship among disabled judoists in Bromat, France, is over.

As APA reports, sportsmen from 38 countries, including eight Azerbaijani judoists competed for the championship. The winners got license to the Paralympic Games to take place in Beijing in 2008.

Our sportsman Ramin Ibrahimov (60 kg) got license to semi-final by defeating Ben Kilter (England) and Elvis Vargas (Venezuela). He won the bronze medal of the championship by defeating Peng Ren and got a license to the Beijing Paralympic Games.

Our another judoist Tofig Ahmadov (90 kg) become the world champion by gaining victory over Divino Dinato (Brazil), Michael Esser (Germany), Eduard Tropinov (Ukraine) and Oleg Kretsul (Russia). So, Tofig Ahmadov is the second Azerbaijani judoist to win license to the Paralympic Games.
