APA reports that the head of state congratulated the heads of the Federation, the medallists and their coaches for continuation of the best tradition of Azerbaijani sportsmen.

The President also noted that Kamaladdin Heydarov has been elected member of the Executive Board of the World Taekwondo Federation and its vice-president. "So, that the world recognizes the victories of Azeri sportsmen", he emphasized.

Speaking at the meeting, president of the Azerbaijani Taekwondo Federation Kamaladdin Heydarov noted the state care for sports in the country. Stating that there are over 15 thousand taekwondoists in Azerbaijan, Mr.Heydarov said Taekwondo Championship among youth will be held in Vietnam soon.

"Our sportsmen will represent Azerbaijan in the contest. Perhaps, it will be decided that Azerbaijan host the next world championship," Heydarov said.

President Aliyev also received heads of the Wrestling and Judo Federations, the medal winners in the European Champs and their coaches two days ago.
