The commemorative ceremony was started by Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev and his family visiting the tomb of Heydar Aliyev. Heads of ministries, committees and other governmental bodies also visited the tomb and laid wreathes on it.

According to APA, thousands of people have visited Heydar Aliyev’s tomb until the afternoon.
