Special commission was established in the Barmek-Azerbaijan Electricity Network Limited Liability Company (LLC) for investigation of activity of the arrested employees of the Company.

As APA reports, Hussein Arabul said that they would defend their employees in case they turn out to be innocent and noted that because investigation was underway and their guilt's not proved, the management of the Company would not consider them guilty.

Mr.Arabul also protests against the Minister of Taxes saying that there are cases of tax evasion in Barmek: "We do not have any problems related to taxes".

Mr.Arabul also stressed that statements by some government officials negatively affected activity of Barmek. According to him, issuance of such statements towards the Company while the investigation is underway is pressure on the management of the Company aiming at forcing Barmek to annul its contract with the government.

The president of the Company said that inspections implemented in Barmek were the focus of attention of the Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan as well. Mr.Arabul said that the Company had not applied to the Embassy in this connection and is sure that the government of Turkey will defend its citizen to the end.

It should be noted that on March 3 the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic brought an action against Barmek. The Vice-President of the Company Omer Gunel, director of the technical department Vafa Aghayev and employee of that department Mahir Novruzov were arrested. On March 17 four more employees of the Company, including the chief of the Electricity Meter Installation Department Elnur Mutellibov were accused. At present those persons are detained.
