Next meeting of Town-Building Council was held in Ganja Executive Power.
According to the information of western bureau of APA, the meeting attended by officials working in various fields was dedicated to the construction of many-storied buildings in Ganja. Mayor of Ganja Eldar Azizov addressing the meeting stated that, construction of high-rise buildings in some areas of Ganja, Heydar Aliyev Avenue, Javad Kahn Street and near Shah Abbas mosque is inexpedient: "Stands and trade booths have to be removed to other places and rest parks have to be established instead." Mayor also added that, increase of the stories of the buildings in these territories is forbidden. Mayor then listened to the opinions and proposals of participants. By the agreement of the council, a decree was prepared to ban construction of high-rise buildings in the aforesaid territories. Under the decrees of Mayor of Ganja, it is instructed to maintain the historical buildings in the part of Javad Khan Street between Khatai Avenue and Attarlar street and not to make any changes to them, to ban construction of four-storied buildings around Shah Abbas mosque which was built in early 17th century in the center of Ganja and around the Chokak Hamam and Javad Kahn tomb, to knock down the uncompleted buildings in crossing of Heydar Aliyev Avenue and Useyir Hajibayov Avenue and to establish a new rest park instead. It is also instructed in the decree to knock down catering establishments in the east of crossing of Heydar Aliyev Avenue and Dade Gorgud Street and to establish a rest park instead.
