Since the beginning of the year the State Border Service (SBS) of Azerbaijan prevented 38 attempts to smuggle narcotics through the state border finding about 13 kg of them.
The last attempt to sneak drugs through the state border was prevented by border guards averted on November 26. As the result of the operational measures undertaken by SBS jointly with the Ministry of National Security and Interior Ministry in the area of the Lankaran frontier unit was detained a citizen of Iran Tahiri Mugaddam Alirza Abdulali, born in 1975. Abdulali was detained while attempting to cross the border with 1.65 kg of narcotic substances. Trend
